National Alliance objectives:
The vision of this network is hunger free Bangladesh and the mission is effectual policy advocacy, case work and campaigns for attainment of the above vision. As a whole, the objective of the network is to strengthen the policy advocacy efforts of its partners towards ensuring food sovereignty at country level first. This Bangladesh alliance, as country focal point shall uphold the vision, mission and strategy of national and Asia regional network named ANGOC which was selected to be act as Asia focal point of AAHM global initiatives. Thus continue to build on national and Asia regional allies strength, take active part in their activities and process.

1. Community Development Association (CDA)

Brief description of the association: "We will work with today's and tomorrow's poor and disadvantaged in the North of Bangladesh. Together we will build institutions to enable fair livelihoods & promote access to the market, address human rights, promote gender equality, and challenge ecological, social & cultural barriers."

4. INCIDIN Bangladesh

Brief description of the association: the Mission of INCIDIN Bangladesh is the “overall development of the community”, with a special focus on a balanced and “sustainable industrial development”. This is a formally defined Mission; however, INCIDIN Bangladesh is acting on areas/projects that are ultimately benefiting the community as a whole in a sustainable way.

6. Nijera Kori

Brief description of the association: Development activities of Nijera Kori are directed towards the establishment of rights of the downtrodden people.
Women are an important and integral part of all production processes. In order to break the patriarchal system, Nijera Kori works to change the biased male perception towards women and encourages women to recognize and assert their own position in society.
Nijera Kori feels that an accountable, democratic environment is absolutely essential for development. Nijera Kori imbibes democratic conduct through participation and accountability in planning, implementation, evaluation and overall management not only with the groups organized but throughout the organization itself.

7. HDRC (Human Development Research Centre)

8. RFS (Palli Bandhu Sangstha)

Brief description of the association: response to the emergency needs of the target community that affecting them physically, mentally and environmentally; raising mass awareness, sensitizing the discrimination and undertaking specific interventions after analyzing the actual situation.
Activities: advocacy, group formation, awareness, building training, tree plantation, seed distribution, medicine distribution.
9. Sustain
Nature of the organization: Non Governmental Organizations
Brief description of the association (specifying its mission and activities): the mission of Sustain is to bring socio-economic and cultural development in the lives of Indigenous population (Adivashi & Marginal) vulnerable women & children in northern part of Bangladesh through strengthening their knowledge and skill to become self-employed and independent.

10. HRDF (Human Resources Development Foundation)

Brief description of the association (specifying its mission and activities): HRDF aims to assist the victims of exploitation and promote long –term benefits to people through specific projects. It believes that there is power and potential among the powerless and that an alternative power structure must be promoted which will favor development of the powerless. This it is, assumed can be done through education, training, credit services, awareness building, organizational promotion and networking among the poor.

18. BGF (Barokupot Ganochetona Foundation)

Brief description of the association (specifying its mission and activities): The Mission is to:
Empower the poor, less- fortunate and powerless people in socio-economic emancipation through people’s organization, training, empowerment, non-formal education, revolving micro-credit support for economic activities, water-aid, sanitation, environmental up-gradation, emergency relief and rehabilitation of ameliorating their due rights in the society to lead an active and healthy life.
Activities:Group formation, group dynamism, raising savings fund and social awareness building, micro Credit Project, health, nutrition, water aid, sanitation and family welfare, food Security & Partnership in Land- Agriculture Resource and extension, mini nursery, women development programme, climate change adaptation, relief and rehabilitation programme, tobacco control & Acid violence, family planning.
Core achievements and National Alliance activities/projects in 2012:
- Emphasizing the slogan of world Food Day 2012, ALRD has published a poster containing four demands and distributed widely through its network members, partner organizations and CSOs.
- To mark the day, ALRD also held a seminar titled- “Food Security and Small Farmers’ Cooperative Movement” at CIRDAP Auditorium in Dhaka on 20th October, 2012 to heighten public awareness on “People Centered Cooperatives Movement” is among the best avenues of farmers’ poverty eradication in Bangladesh.
- ALRD’s partner organization CDA celebrated World Food day in a befitting manners in association with its grassroots’ people organizations in Dinajpur and Thakurgaon districts. They held rallies and discussion meetings highlighting the significance of the day as a part of information communication and general awareness among the member of grassroots organization and people in general.
- Emphasizing the slogan of World Food Day, Amra Protteke Kaj Shikhi(APRAKASHI), a partner organization of ALRD had arranged a seminar on “Effective Farmer Cooperative is the Key of World Food Security”.
- GRAUS, a private development organization at Muktagasa Upazilla in Maymensingh district, arranged a discussion event titled: “Create Consumer Cooperation, Stop Plundering of Syndicate” in cooperation with ALRD on 17October, 2012. Honorable member of the Parliament, MS. Mahmuda Parvin was the chief guest on that occasion.
- Another program was arranged by ALRD at the ALRD meeting room on November 29, 2012, titled “Agricultural Land Protection and Food Security to Address Hunger and Malnutrition” to address growing regional needs and necessity of agricultural land protection to ensure food security. ALRD’s grassroots’ partner organizations- GRAUS, HRDS, RULFAO, SPEED TRUST, LDO, RFS CDA and Sustain attended in the meeting. This was also formal launching of NAAHM- Bangladesh
- Conducted research on “National situation on Food and Nutrition Security in Bangladesh”.
- Capacity building training and orientation at the grassroots in promotion of local level cooperatives and access to market chain for fare price.
- In country exchange visit and study tour to learn use of organic fertilizer e.g. vermin compost.
Target Activities for 2013:
- Organize policy dialogue on “Agricultural Land Protection and Food Security” in different region of Bangladesh to aware and mobilize peoples opinion.
- Conduct a research study on “Commercialization of Agricultural Land and it’s impact of food security.”
- Initiate activities for promoting Share croppers rights and small cooperatives.
- Policy Advocacy for enactment of Agricultural land protection and Land use act.
- Capacity building for claiming food rights as basic Rights and raise demand to ensuring food security by the government through policy/law and program.
